It's so close and I am so stoked about it.
I cant even sit still let alone sleep at night. The frustration of using technology. The ups & downs and the feelings of accomplishment when you finally hit the right combination of things. But you are probably wondering what I'm talking about and who is even writing this. I will make a formal introduction post probably next week. But I first need to tell you what is Defluenced Radio.
What is Defluenced Radio
First and foremost it is an online radio station. That means audio only. I'm choosing to stream audio only because it offers the best connectivity for those in low bandwidth situations to listen and enjoy. I am a music lover at heart. I literally listen to all kinds of music and I believe it is the one universal language that cant unite people of backgrounds, religions & politics. No matter your taste in music it has always seemed to me that we as a species have always throughout history been able to unite us is music. This is the main overarching goal I have for Defluenced Radio.
Another one of the core goals I have is to build an audience outside of Web3 & Hive. I also want to educate them along the way about Web3 & Hive and help on board them to all the wonderful apps that we have in our ecosystem. So you can look at Defluenced Radio as not just a radio station that plays some great music from artists on & off chain. But you should look at it as a radio station that plays the best in edu-tainment.
To accomplish this I plan to add some live shows of all kinds. I will also my self begin to take control of the player decks and do some live streams on a regular basis my self. I will also be adding pre recorded talk shows to the schedule. Going to be adding some live shows from the Liberty Radio Network as well.
What's the current state of the station now?
Currently it is up and running. You can check it out here. You can tune in and listen anytime of the day or night no matter where you are. I'll go over the tech behind the scenes in another post but right now the player that is currently on the site will not be the final player. It will only handle so many listeners before it will crash. This is because the stream is coming right from my home connection. I will be changing this in a few days when I get a url from a cdn. The site itself is simple. Just an html page with the player and a list of the last 10 tracks played. I am working on embedding a sting chat into the page so there can be a live chat room for the live shows. This will require a Hive account to use. I will also have chatrooms in discord and Matrix as well for those without a Hive account. I really want to push Hivers to use the stingcchat hoping that it will encourage outsiders to see all the fun conversation and start a Hive account to get in the chat.
Thats going to be it for today. I will be back with more posts from this account later this week and in the future. I'm really looking forward to bringing you the best in edu-tainment and doing my small part to bridge the gap of the old web and Web3.
Congrats on your goals!
