I'm a violinist from the Gayaki-Ang genre, a style of Indian classical music that tries to emulate the human voice in all of its intricacies and subtleties. In some of my lessons on my YouTube channel also named "jaganperfect", I have uploaded / streamed some videos on:
A) How to practice, sing or play GHAMAKAS on the violin in Indian Classical Music [Carnatic and Hindustani]?
B) Should we practice Ghamakas in all parent scales?
C) Should we choose to practice and play a few main Ragas only?
D) Why must we consider this aspect of Indian classical music important?
E) How to make a 4 hour practice session routine / discipline?
I suggest, all violinists who wish to play Ghamakas clearly, accurately and 'depth' must do so (initially) only in Ragas -- "Bilaawal", "Kalyaan" and "Kaafi" Thaatts / In CM -- Shankarabaharam, Kalyaani and Karahara-Priya.
