Ragnarok is running a contest for the Logo of the game. I must say i have 0 experience in graphic design and i open an vector graphics program only when i accidently click on a file with the extension for it.
Nevertheless i wanted to have some fun.
What is the first thing you think of when you think of Norse mythology? Hammers, Axes and shields. And as they said that Norse mythology is only the first one in the game and there will be others i wanted to try and experiment with different symbols.
Overall it looked almost decent considering my skills and experience. But it kinda felt too much. Thought that maybe it could be more simpler.
And there was one symbol that i particularly liked. And it is probably not widely known and recognized, because i feel that Slavic pagan gods never got mainstream.
The particular one is a variation on a symbol of Chernobog (black god). And i kinda like how it looks.
And it would more or less work on all kind of different background colors.
And it looks good in every color, i personally like red one the most.
This one was just a quick test of could it work with just a symbol. It is too big here but as a small one, maybe.
If for some strange reason all the cool design people miss this contest and this wins 🤣 i would have to buy the rights for this specific variation of Chernobog symbol (or draw something similar, but probably not, everyone needs to earn and sharing is nice 😂)

Hey what hive engine token can I buy for this game yet?
There's room for us hive minnows and dolphins to actually become whales in these new games if they have hive engine tokens
Hive engine is hives greatest weapon and these hive games are going to make our transactions go up a lot ... im worried about how few people can answer my question about where the hive comes from to power up minimum 30 hivepower to be comfortable... for 10 million accounts? Nonone is gonna be able to amass 300M hive ... where does it come from? There's only like 500M.. when new account is created the 3 hive gets paid to who again? Null? Hivedao? Can it then be recycled? That's another question
How can we scale to get 100M users or is that no problem just resource credits? Withiut upgrading witness nodes hardware... what's the max amount of users and apeox actifitynper resiurce credit for the WHOOOLE SHABANGO? like isn't based on that needing 30HP and only a few hundred million hive to even buy iut there or what? Is that how u can know?
Like can we tweak RCs so it's like... 100M accounts signing up for super cheap but no-one can make more than like 1 tx a day? Is it something like that? At that point do we all just take turns using hive and being in awe of the $1million dollar upvotes in the future on top photography and art posts? Lol including mainstream Hollywood releases all ABOUT hive etc ? It's gonna get wild to see our favorite thing so widely celebrated

the claim drop will be in Ragnarok Claim Tokens. Not sure will it be on hive engine, dlux (Dan worked with them) or maybe something else. Ragnarok Claim Tokens will be like unopened chests (something like that). When the NFT cards go live, you can claim one NFT per token.
So there will be some trading before anyone knows what card they get. Could be interesting, we will see.
Splinterlands created a lot of accounts. It kinda all depends on the Hive price. 10$ to get it going is not that bad if it has to happen. And everyone active will get to 30 hive from the distribution. Now what will happen in some years ahead when inflation goes down 🤷♂ who knows, we will see :D
For a person who isn't involved in graphic design I think you've done a bang up job!
I rather like the red in the 7th image - I think it evokes an excitement and reading to go beat the hell out of your enemies and take no prisoners.

They look nice, I would only simplify them. All this shine is not recommended for the logo anyway, especially when there are black and white versions and printed versions. Vector logo is probably the only way to go still. Otherwise, great design.

shine is easy to remove, will not look that cool but :D
the Chernobog symbol with Ragnarok text could be a vector logo and it is simple in colors.
And be careful with the font. If it is not royalty free you can get in problems :/
i think this one is, but it is not a problem to pay for it if i win 😂

Nice designs. I think the red versions are best personally. I really like the shield design but it might be difficult to see as a thumbnail image. The first picture is my preference I think along with the simple "R" in red. 👍

overall i thought it is ok, but it kinda takes a lot of space. i didn't know how to make it better :D and thought it should be smaller/simpler. 🤷♂
Depends on what else is in the picture with that stuff.. maby it could be a character image, or a screenshot of actual gameplay and maby the other stuff would be bigger so that the shield one looks rite
