Haven't used either down vote or mute, but good to know there are those options, I do think the great thing about @steemit is that any posts/content which is not worthy of any attention just disappears into the ether organically.

The community simply ignores those who chose to disrupt the core values and intentions behind @steemit, thereby automatically making them irrelevant.

I do love the beauty of its function, by rewarding those who uplift and those who genuinely have great content which aims to educate and uplift follow humans.

I think so, too that most of the plagarism gets flagged or ignored for the most part anyway and I want to focus more on the good stuff and help others and myself with the power of steem

that is exactly my approach with trying to get as much @steem power to help others, it is amazing how well that works, that sharing and upvoting actually is beneficial to the one giving, as you tend to receive so much more.
