With the adoption of a Sennit bill reducing jail time for criminals, Alaska has quickly become the most dangerous state per capita. Giving no major consequence for most crimes.
How can someone one steal a car (example only) and get 30 days in jail. I have seen this exact sentence for some one.
Any first time class C felony gets no jail time. Crime is so rampant right now every day there is a shooting or shootout in Anchorage.
I have mentioned before even our prison system is no punishment but at least they are all in one place. Not out being a nucience to society.
Politions keeps saying there are to many good things in the bill to to repeal it. I am super surprised there has not been more vigilanteism.

That bill is ridiculous. Gave the junkies free range. I know of a couple groups; a vigilante group formed in big lake. One up KGB and the one recently doing something is the one near Williwaw. They took it upon themselves to deal with what the law does not. 40 neighbors showing up to a drug den telling them its time to move. Not sure how that is turning out. There has been some action in Willow the past couple weeks, theiving and what not.....
