Amen to that. I don't care how much 'more' money can be made using whatever strategy if the end result is flawed in so many ways. When you're a small fish it won't help you in the long run and if you're a big fish there are better ways to get rich(er). I just stopped caring, stopped all my automated voting and now concentrate on the interaction and relations I have built, the money comes (almost) last.

I recently started using bots and no matter how successful I become at bot management I will probably upvote the heck out of legit people that come to my blog. When I was new and only had 15 steem power and was voting down to 8% voting power I did feel that my upvotes and comments did still matter. Even if steem and steem dollars couldn't be exchanged for "real" currency I'd still pick this site over Facebook. I'm still very bullish on this platform even if 90% of it is now automated. I'm surprised so many people are so willing to loan out their steem power.
