Hey guys, I just realize how bad Achedamia is in my eyes and it makes me furious. Today I wanted to express this on steemit for the first time. I will not be disclosing my age as of yet due to my slight paranoia about posting too much personal information online. Anyways, here we go...

... I look at my life past me and in front of me and I realize with newfound wisdom that time is the most important thing in my life and in everyone's life. Time is finite. One cannot get more time in any way know to man. Time is perpetually being taken away and never given back or compensated for. Time is exactly what school and academics take's.
I look at schooling and I figure I've spent over a year of my life sitting in a classroom. A day of school feels like a perpetual boredom and the repetition of it all makes children and young adults alike sick of it. Think of the average day spent at school. It requires a person on an average day to wake up, go to school for 6 hours (that's how long my elementary and high school days were), going home, studying and doing more work, and sleeping out the remainder of the day.
With all this time seemingly perpetually being wasted, Is there a better way. A way that doesn't require you to spend so much time in the school system from the age of 5 to early to mid- 20s (assuming post-secondary education). A way that can help us save time. Maybe, we can find a way to do this teaching things children and young adults can use in adulthood, like paying taxes and the economy.
Think about going to school every day and read this quote “I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” - Steve Jobs
Hopefully this vent has given you a little bit of my opinion and perspective on Achedamia.

The problem with most education systems is that they don't actually teach you things that are useful in everyday life. Not to mention most of them are government funded, so they will always be tainted with an agenda of sorts. Why not teach people laws in school? Because it's easier to keep them imprisoned when they don't even know what the laws are or mean.
thanks
This is so true. Education is meant to empower people not keep then in the dark
