What I've been noticing lately on steemit.....

in #rant7 years ago (edited)

You know what grinds my gears so much when it comes to steemit?

When i like to visit certain tags and I see posts that are irrelevant to that tag...
For example I want to welcome new steemians to steemit so i visit the "introduceyourself" tag and all i see is some intro posts but mainly i see other posts regarding a picture... or someone posting poems or gaming content.

I try my best to categorize my posts to relevant tags... for example this will be tagged under rant... it's not a popular tag but i feel like it's more appropriate than introduceyourself tag.
To me that's a big no no on steemit. What do you guys think?

Am i wrong or wut?

Your tags for this post should have been:

introduceyourself, grinds, my, gears, gamingpoetry

But yeah with only 5 tags you have to make them count, and as the major tags get so flooded with posts I'm not sure it makes much sense to use them anyways.

Hahaha i guess so right...since i do talk about them in my post lol.
But yeah if you look at the highest payout tags....You will see alot of posts that are irrelevant to the tag.
I try to be honest and keep my tags as relevant to what i am posting.
