RE: [Nomad rants] - The Generation of Participation Awards | How Entitlement reached Steemit

in #rant7 years ago

Speaking as an old, and a person with history interests, I feel like I have to point out that this attitude was around long before Millennials were. Certain people in the generations above you really like to blame you for doing the same things we did, and they did. Don't buy into it.

I got Curie'd out of your contest, so I'm pretty happy. But I would be even if I hadn't. (Honestly, the four interactive comments I got mean more to me than the $30.) I'm on post five of a nineteen-post series about mythologizing in the Marvel universe that so far has earned a total of $0.08, and I'm fine with that, too. I'm writing it because I want to write it, and because I figure I'll get a book out of it in the end.

After all, I could be writing them on Twitter or Facebook and earning nothing for dealing with the nastiness of those platforms. Steemit may have a little bit of entitlement but it's nothing next to Twitter.
