I see a lot of great content in here be rewarded with $0.03 or so ...
At the same time, I see a huge amount of crappy posts on the trending page, from the same users, over and over again. bernie sanders is one of these regular scammers, but there are many more. He's just the most consistent scammer.
They earn thousands of dollars each day posting big piles of poo, upvoting themselves and all their comments with a legion of bots.
It seems to me that there's no meritocracy here. Only a bunch of rich people rewarding themselves and their friends. The rest of us are basically screwed. We can create the best content ever... and earn a few pennies, at most.
If the developers don't change the way SteemIt works, I see Wildspark, by Synereo (AMP) taking over... and putting Steem on a corner.
That's why I have invested as much in AMP as I have in Synereo.
I wouldn't have done that if I saw that good content was valued... and shitty content left to rot.
But since I see the exact opposite - a bunch of greedy people rewarding their own trash - I have to edge my STEEM investment... and AMP is the way to go. I think.
