Approximately 4 million Canadians speak French only, most French Canadians are bilingual. Every other Canadian either understands English or gets by in an English speaking country with limited English and gradually improves their English with time.
A French-only speaker could message a bilingual friend and ask for a translation given the circumstances if they were confused about what a product was.
It's foolish to even type this but should delivery of essential goods that keep people safe, and potentially save lives be delayed in order to print labels in French???
Fucking hell, send it to us in Chinese and we'll figure it out.
I don't think French should have equal status as English here. Currently it makes literally no sense for 75% of the population to be punished and have restrictions on opportunities because being bilingual is a requirement for positions of power in Canada.
Maybe it made sense in the past but it doesn't today.
Let Quebec have a referendum to leave and be done with it.
