It is a practice that allows one to control the amount of children and the time between the birthday. In other words, it is a way for a woman to decide whether she wants to have children, how many children she wants to have and when.
In general, family planning includes such practice as the use of contraception, reproductive education, family counseling, infertility management and so on.

TYPES OF FAMILY PLANNING
Family planning includes contraceptives, sexuality education and natural family planning techniques. Contraceptives includes, barrier methods like diaphragms, condoms and hormonal birth control. It can also include surgery (hysterectomies for women or vasectomies for men) or intrauterine device (worn inside a woman's vagina during intercourse).
