I just finished reading a few chapters from a book I really like called "Find your element" written by Sir Ken Robinson. Before starting to read from that book I wrote around three articles and I was thinking about starting to write another one. Then I started reading and now I took a break so I can write again.
It's a "strategy" I use from time to time to make sure I keep myself productive, ready for work and motivated to always create more, especially when it comes to writing. The way I do this is pretty simple - I write, then I read something, then I write again.
This helps me with two things: first, after I finish writing I get to take a small break from my work and do something both enjoyable and helpful. Reading can relax you pretty fast and a few pages from a book may be all you need to get your energy back and start writing again. Second, reading always helps you with new ideas and gives you inspiration about things you can write.
Writing an article means you put some of your ideas on paper in order to share them with the world and with the people interested in reading them. At the end of the article most of your ideas are gone, and you need new ones to share them too. That's something reading really helps you with.
After I finished writing those three articles around 30 minutes ago I was kinda tired and ready to do something completely different like watch a few videos or play some video games. I didn't have any more ideas for today so I just wanted to take a break before publishing everything on Steemit.
Around 15 minutes of reading and checking an interesting website and I got ideas for around 4 new articles, one of them being this one. That's all it took. I go two ideas from that website I was checking out and two ideas from two chapters I just finished reading.
I believe you could use the same strategy to boost your work and to get some inspiration when it comes to writing your articles. Imagine how much work you could do if you get at least one new idea every time you read a new chapter from a book.
Not only you get more ideas for work, but you also get more knowledge. Reading something every day can help you get smarter and learn new things, and that's really important these days, when everyone is so hungry for information. Imagine what 60 minutes of reading every day can do for you and for your work, if you know how to apply all the knowledge you get.
So, if you're interested in using the same method to boost your productivity and the amount of work you put in, all you have to do is either get a book you like or a website where you can easily find high quality articles, start writing something and read one article or a few chapters from a book every time you're done. After you finish start writing again and when you're done, resume to reading.
Doing that a few times a day will help you come up with all kind of new articles to write or ideas for your new projects and create more and more content for all your followers.
Good article. Thanks for the tip.
Glad I could help :)
