Isco has already held talks with Pep Guardiola concerning a summer transfer to Manchester City, according to reports.
The Real Madrid playmaker, who scored a hat-trick in Spain’s 6-1 defeat of Argentina on Tuesday, has been promised he will be a key player if he moves to the Etihad this summer, and will double the salary he is currently paid at the Bernabeu, according to El Chiringuito TV.
Isco remains a target of other Premier League sides, as well, with Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal known to be admirers of the 25-year-old.
He has made 40 appearances for Real this season, but has only started 18 LaLiga matches. Despite starting the season in fine form as a key member of Zinedine Zidane’s squad, his form has faltered since the start of winter, with just one goal and two assists registered in that time.
Isco is expected to arrive at the Etihad to act as the long-term replacement for David Silva, the 32-year-old playmaker. Ilkay Gundogan was signed by City last summer to fulfil that role, but he has yet to truly establish himself under Guardiola due to continual injury problems.
