Tonight I would like to discuss about how to take photos of flowers so that they are nice and interesting to look at

a. Determine the Subject

Decide what will be the subject of your photo or Focal Point or Point of Interest, is it a single flower, a group, or some part of a flower such as Insects, Pollen, color, texture, shape? Flower photos are usually more interesting when taken in a single / solo situation. Not that the photo of a group of flowers is not good, but if the composition is not right it will look messy.

Choose the angle of view and determine the right composition. Don't be afraid to cut off the edge that is the subject, doing this can be useful to focus the attention of the viewer on the area that you want to highlight.

Look around the flower, if there is something interesting to put in your flower photo frame, insert it while it will add to your flower photo. For example, bees, spiders, butterflies or anything that can enhance your photos.

b. Determine it Focal Point

As in all types and fields of photography, of course you have to think and determine where you will bring your photo connoisseur eyes. You can place it in the middle of the frame by using the Rule of Thirds rule, but find something in the frame that can catch the eye of the connoisseurs of your photo and be careful about its position.

c. Color Is Everything

In flower photography tips, including lots of colors is one of the most important things. A flower photo will look much better if it is rich in color compared to a flower photo with a single color that looks boring.

If you are photographing flowers outside the room, choose a day where the sunlight is not harsh, but also not minimal light. Because strong light will reduce color and petal details, because that's where the beauty of flowers comes from. With natural sunlight can also make out the colors of flowers.

Texture and detail can turn a good photo into a great one. Flower photography has both. Try to photograph the flower from the side so that the shadow can produce detailed details of the flower's surface.

d. Photograph Flowers Close Up

Focus is very important for a good flower photo, if when photographing flowers just a little out of focus will bring less significant impact. To photograph flowers in close-up you can do this by using your camera settings to manual focus mode and really taking the time to get your flowers as sharp as possible. If your camera does not offer manual focus, use macro mode so you can keep flowers in focus even at very close distances.

You can try to use a wide aperture to throw the background / background out of focus. Blurring the background will be able to draw attention to the interest as the subject of your photo. Use a tripod if necessary, in order to reduce camera shake when photographing your flowers.

When taking close-up shots, be aware of your self-image and equipment. Choose your point of view carefully against the sun's shadow. If you have a lens.

e. Choosing a Flower Photo Background

If you are very close to flowers, the background will often blur because of the narrow depth of the area. But there are other ways you can do to set the photo mood. You can try to shoot against the background of the subject. Many photographers include poster boards or foam boards when photographing flowers. You can put the board a few inches behind the flower. Or, ask a friend to help hold the board. Make sure the board is far enough away so that it does not go into focus.

f. Good Angles or Angles Photographing Flowers

This is also known as photographic composition. This relates to where you deliberately position interesting things in the photo. If you place the flowers well, that means your photographic composition will be better. The best composition is to keep it from being complicated in the viewer's eyes.

g. Use a tripod and filter

Because when shooting in cloudy or cloudy conditions the shutter speed will automatically decrease. With a low shutter speed the camera may shake very high, and the result is an unfocused image. If you don't have a tripod, you can still get good photos with the note that you must take a position where you can hold the camera as firmly as possible.

Another tip for photographing flowers is to use a polarizing filter. This filter darkens everything in the picture after you place it on the lens. Too bright light can cause loss of detail in flowers, because it is very small and fine. The camera will find it difficult to capture details on flowers if there is too much light flooding the petals. Use this filter to darken the light and emit flower color details.

h. Be patient Waiting for the Right Moment

As with other types of photography, patience is a must when studying flower photography. Be prepared to spend a lot of time lying on the grass, the floor is just to position yourself photographing flowers from various points of view and avoiding the shadow of the sun also waiting for the wind to stop.

Hopefully photography tips on 8 ways to photograph this flower you can try and can be additional knowledge to learn photography more seriously.

May it be a valuable lesson for all of you in taking flower photos ... tahnks!
