Chicken Broccoli
INGREDIENTS
twelve ounces boneless
one tablespoon oyster sauce
two tablespoons dark soy sauce
three tablespoons vegetable oil
two cloves garlic
one large onion
half cup water
one teaspoon ground black pepper
one teaspoon white sugar
half medium head bok choy
one small head broccoli,
one tablespoon cornstarch
PROCESS
In a large bowl, combine chicken, oyster sauce and soy sauce. Set aside for fifteen minutes.
Heat oil in a wok or large heavy skillet over medium fire. Saute garlic and onion till soft and translucent. Increase heat to high. Add chicken and marinade, then stir-fry till light golden brown, about ten minutes. Mix in water, pepper and sugar. Add bok choy and broccoli, and cook mixing till soft, about ten minutes. Add in the cornstarch mixture, and cook till sauce is thickened, about five minutes.
