Chicken and Potatoes
Ingredients
two tablespoons olive oil
one teaspoon cumin seed
half teaspoon garam masala
quarter teaspoon ground cardamom
quarter teaspoon cayenne pepper
half teaspoon black mustard seed
half teaspoon salt
two cloves garlic
two (4 ounce) chicken thighs
two medium potatoes
two roma (plum) tomatoes
half bunch Swiss chard
one (8 ounce) container plain yogurt
Instructions:
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium fire. In hot oil, cook cumin seeds, garam masala, cardamom, cayenne pepper, mustard seeds, salt, and garlic. When seeds start to pop, mix in chicken and potatoes. Cook for fifteen minutes, or till chicken is nearly done. Mix in tomatoes, chard, and yogurt. Cover, and cook fifteen minutes more, or till potatoes are tender and chicken is cooked through.
