Usually Indian bread more popularly known as PAV is very easily available at any bakery / general store nearby and also sold as street food in entire Maharashtra accompanied with Aloo Vada. It's a famous fast food of Maharashtra that everyone Rich or poor love to binge on.
Making a PAV at home was on my mind when my kids on a Sunday morning asked for the same to be home made. They love challenging my cooking skills though it has always been a passion to be a weekend chef at home.
Today I wish to share this simple yet satisfying recipe to all...
Ingredients -
Refined Flour - 500gms
Activated Dry Yeast - 1 Tablespoon
Oil - 1 Tablespoon
Butter - for brushing
Precedure -
Take 1 and half cup of warm water in a bowl
Add a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar and activated dry yeast to warm water.
Cover it with a cling wrap and let it rest for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes you will see that the yeast has fully mixed and the mixture is bloated in the bowl.
Take refined flour, add the above mixture and knead the dough for about 10 minutes.
Apply little oil and make the dough in a ball shape
Keep it in the bowl and cover with a wet cloth for about 45-60 minutes.
After 60 minutes the dough would have doubled in size.
Punch the dough to remove the air and again knead it for 15 minutes.
Now make small equal size balls grease the pan with butter and place the balls with a distance of about 1 centimeters.
Keep it in a preheated oven at 150 degrees for 20 minutes (Keep Checking to avoid burning)
Once done, remove the pan carefully wearing glows and brush the PAV with melted butter and let it cool for a while.
Yummie.. Fresh homemade PAV are ready to relish with your favorite accompanied dish or curry!!!
Try this at home and share with your friends and family.
