The bocadillo is a Latin American sweet that is prepared with fruit pulp, sugar cane panela or refined sugar, wrapped in bijao leaves, cob or banana.
In countries such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Ecuador and Panama, it is generally made from guava pulp. However, in Ecuador and Panama, banana, pineapple and banana may be used in addition to guava.
In Venezuela we have banana and guava in the images below I show you the best known in my country.
This is wrapped in banana leaf, it is a delight and its preparation is more traditional.

This is the factory presentation also very tasty but the two have different textures.
We can make this sandwich at home and I will share the recipe for banana sandwiches:
Ingredients:
- 6 Last Bananas of Maduro
- 1 Kg Sugar
- 15 Species Nails
- To taste Cinnamon Powder
Preparation:
Bananas are peeled well and the seeds are removed, crushed with a mortar or processed in the blender with a little water. In a large pot that does not stick the cloves are boiled, after they have boiled enough, the cloves are removed and the cinnamon powder and the processed bananas are added, then a half kilo of sugar is added and the other half kilo is reserved. It should be stirred constantly with wooden pallet, when the mixture is firm and it looks very brown then it is turned off.
In a flat tray sprinkle with part of the reserved sugar and on this the mixture is added, with the help of a wet spatula it extends over the whole surface, then it is added sugar again and it is left to cool to cut.
