Steps to make Patacones
That's me, after having made the patacones!
Yesterday we made a sharing with colleagues, the reason, the arrival of the second daughter of one of our companion.
Actually it was a surprise, because our friend never imagined that we would come to her house to eat patacones.
Among the accomplices we reached an agreement to make patacones, one of the most exquisite dishes of the State of Zulia.
Although the patacones are made with green bananas, we make them with ripe bananas.
If you do not know what a patacón is, here I summarize it, it is a plate of crushed green plantain, huntada with cabbage, carrot, cheese and seasonings like garlic sauce, it can be accompanied by meat, chicken or eggs, it is a typical dish of Maracaibo , state Zulia in Venezuela.

INGREDIENTS
Ripe bananas.
1/2 Cabbage.
2 Carrots.
1/2 Carton of Eggs.
1/2 Kg of White Cheese.
Salt
PREPARATION
- Place 1/2 egg carton in a pot and bring to a boil until they are cooked, then peel and chop into small pieces, add a little salt.
- Scratch cabbage, carrot and then make a salad without adding salt or seasoning.
- Peel completely without cutting the ripe bananas, place them in a pan. Then crush them and fry again until they are golden brown.
Arming the patacón is very simple, put the ripe banana on a plate, place the parboiled egg, the cabbage and carrot salad on top of each other in the order that is said, the cheese strips and finally place the garlic sauce, you can place the amount you want to your liking.
