RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- ¼ cup (50g) butter
- 1 lb (450g) cherries
- 4 eggs
- ⅓ cup (60g) sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup + 2 Tbsp (100g) flour
- ¾ cup (20 cl) milk
- Optional: Icing sugar and ice cream
LET'S GET COOKING...
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Butter ramekins or a cake mold and lay out the cherries on the bottom.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan.
- In a small bowl, add the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract and flour and mix well. Add the melted butter and stir. Slowly add the milk while stirring continuously.
- Pour the batter on top of the cherries.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 400ºF, then lower the temperature to 350ºF and bake for another 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with icing sugar. Can be served warm or cold with ice cream.
