Our sumptuous dinner: "Lobster roasted with garlic butter and poured with oyster sauce"

in #recipelast year (edited)

Hello dear Hiveans...
Christmas is closing in...
Time for special menu on the dining table :-D.
This time I was so lucky to find a huge lobster in the nearest supermarket from our home, so I immediately bought it to prepare a special delicacy to my family.

Seafood has always been the most preferred dishes in my home land "Indonesia", well...probably even nearly in most Asian nations, but it's not commonly served in the german society.

I was rather unsettled initially considering the way I should cook this thing. There were simply so many recipes floating in my mind, but finally I chose to bake it in ma Instant Pot Duo Crisp cos it seems to be the most practical and producing the least mess LOL.

I made a slit in the middle of the back side and then pour in a mix of garlic paste ( made of 4 garlic cloves) and salted butter into the opening. Afterwards I just put in the baking tray and bake it in the preheated Instant Pot for about 10 minutes in 204 C degree. Baste it with melted butter every 5 minutes.

Meanwhile I prepared an oyster sauce as my husband doesn't really like to eat dry food. He always wants to have some sauce.

I crushed 2 cloves garlic and pan fry it with a bit of oil until fragrant and then add: 1 tablespoon of soy sauce; 2 tablespoon of oyster sauce; a pinch of ground black pepper, a teaspoon of sesame oil and then pour in a mix of 1 teaspoon starch and 50 ml water.

I added a handfull of hacked spring onions (and some small diced soft tofu) before turning off the stove.
The sauce is ready to put into the serving plate and be the bed of the baked lobster :).

Guten Appetit! It tasted heavenly, trust me!!! My daughter said that she can't wait to finally land in the Philippine to enjoy more of such delicacies. (Yess.... she knew what is waiting for her in the next few months and is very excited about it LOL).

Have a nice weekend and Merry Christmas to you all!
See you again in my next post soon and Thanks for the upvotes!

Wishing you and your warm family a Merry Christmas!😍😘

I absolutely agree with you, "seafood has always been the most preferred dishes in Thailand, too." Your dish looks delicious..... I feel hungry now! 😋😋

Your little princess will enjoy various delicious dishes in the Philippine, for sure....👍😍😋

Thank you Tangmo. I bet you like seafood too :-D.
Yes, we're very looking forward to it hahhaha.

You're welcome! Yeah! I like seafood, for sure! ;)

I thought seafood without sauce is just unperfect food 😅 so your husband have good taste. Seems delicious sauce, I often made that sauce with any veggie or just with tofu, and chicken breast.

Here, I can't buy lobster because so difficult to find and the expensive one.

The best seafood in my city is "kerang dara" with sweet and spicy sauce

Happy holiday for you and your family. Be blessed ❤️

Yeah...that's true though. However the meat itself is already very tasty even without anything actually.
That's why it doesn't need so many strong herbs for it. Nevertheless I love the most to eat it with "sambel extra pedes" and hot steamed rice LOL.
Anyway lobster in indonesia is also expensive, not for an everyday meal for sure...(at least for most family LOL),
however in Germany is definitely much more expensive cos we don't have a huge water territory like Indonesia 😝.

Yeah just for special moment for family because the expensive price 😊
