Healing Soup
Ingredients
three tablespoons olive oil
half onion, chopped
two cloves garlic
two quarts water
four teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
one teaspoon salt
half teaspoon black pepper
half head cabbage, cored and coarsely chopped
one (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style stewed tomatoes, drained and diced
Instructions:
In a large stockpot, heat olive oil over medium fire. Mix in onion and garlic; cook till onion is transparent, about five minutes.
Stir in water, bouillon, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then mix in cabbage. Simmer till cabbage wilts, about ten minutes.
Mix in tomatoes. Return to a boil, then simmer fifteen to thirty minutes, mixing often.
