Hello! Steemians
How are you all doing?
As in my previous blog, i promised to share the momo recipe in my style or which can be found in our corners and places. i love the simplicity of food, it is peoples' own choice how they choose to eat. for making of momos, i have categorized in three parts.
(1) Ingredients you need;
- 3 cups of flour (Refined flour)
- 1/2 teaspoon of plain salt
- 1 cup of water
- 1 carrot (finely chopped or grated)
- 3-4 onions finely chopped / small clove of ginger (mined)
- vegetable ( you can take cabbage, squash, bottle guard, /grated)
- 1 cube cheese (small)
- 1/2 cup of refined oil
- salt
- soya sauce
- tasting powder (optional)
(2) How to prepare?
mix the refined flour with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and water and knead the dough and place it for 15-20 mins cover it with
the clean cloth.
Place the grated vegetables but before mixing it with other ingredients make sure you add the salt in it and soak it for 5
to 10 minutes for taking out the water from the vegetables.
- After its done then mix it with onion, cheese, tasting powder, salt, ginger paste, carrot, soya sauce.
Now heat the oil and put it on the mixture and mix it well and your your stuffing is ready.
Now make small balls from the dough based on what size do you like and roll it translucent i.e, thin.
- Take the rolled dough and place small amount of filling ( vegetable mixture ) in center and the same process with the
rest.
- Steam it for 15-20 minutes with medium gas flame and your momos are ready to serve hot.
(3) Sauce making
- 5 to 6 green chilies
- coriander leaves (2-3)
- garlic ( 1-2 cloves )
- tomato (2) fry it in oil for better taste mix everything together and with the salt and grind it in a mixture.
Your momos ( Dumblings) are ready to serve hot with the tasty homemade sauce.
