Easy No-Yeast Pizza Dough

in #recipes6 years ago

If you want to dish up fantastic pizza creations at home, you have to start from the bottom up. A great pizza dough is the foundation of a great pizza. This recipe is the shortcut version, no yeast, no dough hook attachment on your standing mixer, no long wait for rising.

The results yield a pizza crust both flaky and soft. The dough forms a pizza base that cuts into about 8 pizza slices.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ⅓ cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons flour (for kneading)

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, garlic powder, and baking powder.
  2. Stir in olive oil and milk. Continue stirring until dough ball forms.
  3. On a clean, dry surface, spread the remaining 1-2 tablespoons flour to create a kneading surface. Make sure your hands have a light dusting of flour on them as well.
  4. Place the dough on the kneading surface and knead about 10 times, then shape it into a ball.
  5. Place an inverted bowl over dough ball and let sit for at least 10 minutes.

When you are ready to make pizza, roll dough into a crust, top with your favorite toppings and bake at 450℉ for 15-18 minutes.
