One Pot Recipe Cheesy Potato Chicken Dinner

in #recipes8 years ago

Make this Cheesy Potato Chicken Dinner on busy weeknights! This one-pot recipe is quick, easy and full of flavor!

I'm a househusband, it's one of my favorite recipe if my kid's a very hungry.

1 lb Baby Dutch Yellow Potatoes - quartered

  • 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil - divided
  • Pinch Salt/Pepper
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper - chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Chicken Breastfilet

I decided to pair it with potatoes because I love the chicken potato  combo. We usually think of potatoes as a side for beef. But trust me,  potatoes with chicken should be on your menu!

This satisfying dinner will be a nice change from the typical chicken and rice.

Transfer potatoes to pan and fry for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Stir every 4-5 minutes.

Add chopped bell pepper.

Now the Chickenmeat...

and Best on the end.... The Chees.....

Top with chees. Melt. Remove from heat and salt/pepper to taste.

Et Voila..... Hope you will liked. Enjoy the Meal!

Hi househusband(first time hearing the term). That's look great!

Best wishes to the househusband from housewifes!:))It looks tasty! If every husband can make the same it will be great for many of womens!

HaHa thats true! But don't forget the childrens.

Ofcource! Unfortunatelly It is all the same for the children who is cooking! It has to be tasty for kids and even if mummy cooking at night, when it is quite and children are sleeping, they dont care)).For example my kids think that I am strange woman and I like it!)I mean to cook at night:))Some times I think to drink a glass of wine, but I am too tired. But!, if every daddy will cook something tasty for kids and they will tell him- that was wonderfull daddy!!....Maybe then he like simple man will be proud of himself and will do it again....and again...By the way kids maybe begin to understand that men can cook too!!!Because my kids looks like thinking that there is no cooking programm in our daddy:))but mummy is houserobot!:)

yea i understand. i start to teach my kids early too cook with me. like my father do it with me. i'm the only houshusband in my circle and i now good the story about housewifes. i have to cook every day, my wife is the best wife in a world, best mum ever...but she can't cook.

One of my friends told me that to cook in the family must the member who can do it better than other!:)I dont teach my kids to cook because I am sure that you can show 1000000000 times and when she(or he) will be adult anyway cooking or not cooking.I can be interesting like a game for the kid but it does not mean that she will not hate cooking in her own family. I really like that you being man understand part of our (housewife)routine:)Part because you can never feel the pleasure of cuting onion when you are pregnant or doing something like that:)....

This looks delicious and will definitely give it try some time. Do you think this would work well in a slow cooker?

hi, yes that we will work well.
