Lazy Guys Hot Fudge Sundae Cake

in #recipes8 years ago (edited)

Hey Guys! Summer means invitations to LOTS of potlucks (covered dish in the south). You don't have to know anything about cooking to impress your group. Resist the urge to just pick something up at the grocery store on your way to the event, but pick up these items about an hour prior. I promise you will WOW them with the easiest crowd-pleaser I have found yet!

ITEMS NEEDED:
24 Ice Cream Sandwiches
Jar of Hot Fudge
Large container of Whipped Topping
Chopped Salted Peanuts
Your Favorite Candy Bar or chocolate chips

Using a 9 x 13 pan, unwrap 12 ice cream sandwiches and begin your first layer. You can squish them together to make them fit.

Next heat up a jar of hot fudge in the microwave for a minute just until you can pour it. Careful! The jar gets hot!!

Pour the hot fudge over first layer...

Sprinkle chopped salted peanuts over hot fudge. (Make sure they are salted, it tastes amazing!)

Another 12 ice cream sandwiches on top...

Spread whipped topping over that. (I like to have it slightly thawed and stirred because it makes it much easier to spread)

Last, top with more peanuts and your favorite candy bar or chocolate chips! Get creative! You simply cannot mess this up!
