A nice groovy mellow one I ran into on the old Spotify discover weekly. Released on the label Houdstooth late last year by the artist Call Super. This is the first track I've come across by him but his style intrigues me. I'm always into the mellow shit with touches of other genres and funky instruments. It's got this eerie walking through the jungle feel! But that rhythm feels kinda bossa.
I'm really liking this but I feel like it leaves something to be desired. I wanted them to drop in like a trip-hop drum pattern like halfway through. Is that just me? Oh well. I still like it for what it is. Maybe it's best suited for an ambient mood after you're exhausted from a long day. Let me know your thoughts!
Call Super - Arpo Sunk
i've never heard anything about Call Super and I must say that it sounds very good. perfect trippin' mellows for a midnight chill ;)
Thanks for visiting! Yes I actually just heard them for the first time too. Love this vibe though ;)
Haha, album Call Super is very different from non-album Call Super. You should search this one out! I’ve been on him since the early days, covered most material. Need to catch up on his recent Essential Mix.
After the Arpo Sunk I also checked this release and what a surprise ! thanks for this recommendation.
Call Super - Acephale II is a powerful energetic roller !
now I am even more curious about his other productions. appreciation for both of you guys @fourfourfun and @mateonav53
