How can we help?

We're going to Puerto Rico tomorrow Wednesday the 31st of January 2018. Thankfully we have friends on the island. Because of that, we will be spending very little money on accomodations and it will enable us to impact the local economy that much more... (not that we have a lot but it will be something).
There are a lot of people still without electricity, some of our friends in San Juan are without power. I do not know what the condition of drinking water is but I know there are still many areas of the island that have been completely neglected still to this day, five months after the storm!
I am not complaining about the lack of government help, I think it is useless, but I know in my heart that we, as individuals can really do something about it. Why should we wait for some agency to file their paperwork or whatever they do in the world of bureaucracy that just enoys everyone. I am not writing this post to make a political dabate, I just want to play a part in helping with or without Uncle Sam's consent.
We are booked to help putting a small farm back up in running condition. But I would like to be able to do more, perhaps find the right charity or family to give to and I would like to donate the entirety of what this post will make both in Steem and Steem Dollars. I will donate from my wallet 6 SBD (about half of my Steem Dollars right now)
My following isn't great, so I don't know how much of an impact we can make but I am sure everything helps...as long as I can find the right hands to give to!
If you want we can do one of two things:
We can help now through this post, I will earch for the right place to give to while I am in Puerto Rico
We can wait until I report back with links to better information on who to donate to.
(The profits generated on this post will be donated regardless)
If any of you guys have suggestions for donating in Puerto Rico, please consider giving me an idea as to where we can give.
Thanks a million in advance.
I will report back on the matter as soon as I can.
PS: I don't know if I can set up a pool of some kind, for now what I know I can do, is keep track of any donations made to my account which will be also kept charity. If you do transfer to @senorcoconut, please put in the note section charity for Puerto Rico.
Thank you again her all that you can do Steemit

Want to have your post on the map too?
Nice initiative :) i wish you the best of luck!
Thank you @clausewitz, we haven't raised very much but with an added 6SBD it'll be a little something. The hardest part right now is finding an organization that actually would use the money towards good. Even if it is only $20.
I prbably will donate to the farm we worked on to help clean debris.
