My in clinical practice, I have seen a good number of people with gout (raised uric acid level) who ate red meat more than others. so I advice to reduce intake of red meat. And the author have mentioned some other possible negative effect. So be careful when you prefer "definitely eat" :) @rhubarb

I know many doctors and in their clinical practice they see that red meat is the best what you can eat. Check it out :D I don't have to be carefull because I know what I am saying :D
