A group of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has recently won the 'Mars City Design' competition, about how homes will be on the way to Mars. They have designed a sustainable city to survive in the future.
The design, named 'Redwood Forest', has been shown to create domed or tree habitat, which can accommodate 50 people in a house. On that dome there will be plenty of vegetation and plenty of water along with the open and public moving space. Water production and crops will be collected from the northern plain of Mars. Tree habitat is a special house built on the tunnels below the ground. In addition to the place of personal mobility, there is also a chance for another to go home and communicate. It is possible to build a city of 10 thousand people in this way. These will work as the root of the tree. In addition to connections, the tunnels, like root, will protect people from cosmic radiation, asteroid dust and extreme heat tolerance.
Nine students from different departments took part under the leadership of MIT researcher Valentina Sumini and assistant professor Caitlin Muller.

The design of a forest on Mars soil means the possibility of spreading nature naturally on its surface.

Every garden will be like branch-style and the tunnels will be like the root of the tree. These designs of Redwood Forest have been made in a special way of computer. Each plant will collect energy from the sunlight and produce and transport water using solar energy. Each tree has been created as a water-rich environment. Many features of this design can also be used for the world. It is possible to make easy access to electric cars by creating multiple level networks under the traffic congested cities
