Stop recycling that!

We all know that recycling is desirable. It's good to use something that has already served its purpose, to give it shape or form part of something new, with a new purpose or even the same.

But some things should never be recycled. In fact, it's even contraindicated!

And you ask what should never be recycled? Well, the ideas of the past. We should always start from a point of view that is appropriate for the current situation. Ideally, this would be desirable, but we know that this is not at all, and one hundred percent, possible. Ideas, experiences, results and even values.

By bringing something from the past into the present, we are not only influencing what we can do better now, but we are also limiting our vision and the possibilities of the results we can achieve right now.

Recycling ideas about people can actually lead to us not being able to see the whole picture in a clearer and obviously more objective way, not to mention the current one.

We are led into a routine, and almost a mantra of repetition, which most of the time doesn't take our minds off ideas that can be detrimental to our creativity.

Preparation for new challenges can only be achieved or improved if we take a fresh look at situations. If we are influenced by, or take as a starting point, a position from the past, which has been used, and recycle it, we most likely expect to achieve the same results, which may not be the ones we need to achieve in order to overcome new challenges.

Sometimes we have to kill ANTs (automatic negative thoughts). We shouldn't let these ideas pollute our minds and spread like real weeds.

They end up destroying any chance we have of innovating. To look at the situation and try to resolve it, with renewed confidence.

What do you think about this? Thank you for taking the time to read my post today.

May I take this opportunity to wish a splendid International Women's Day to all the women in this community!

Cheers🍀
