There is a pair of aloes on the way to the top vegetable patch. On the way up there yesterday, this magnificent web caught my eye.
As I shared it on Instagram, it occured to me that this year has been rather like dealing with the strands of a web. Sometimes you seen them. Sometimes not. Always sticky and hard to escape, and just somehow, holding one back.
It's odd. The new year is not really going to change much other than a single digit in the year's number. However, I get the sense that we all need to breathe deeply, gird our loins and prepare to do battle. Perhaps forewarned is for armed.
Abundance for which I am grateful
A year on, and our garden has returned to some of its giving glory. Thanks to rain, water and The Husband's (grudgingly acknowledged) increasingly green fingers. Even though we have been growing edibles together for more than twenty years, our own produce never gets boring. It's soul food.
My supper was almost exclusively from the garden. The Husband's?
Well, he's a carb-eating carnivore who enjoys vegetables and salad. What can I say?
Until next time, be well

And then there's more:
- If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I plan to add them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts because of this.
