It’s been a while I read the“the subtle art of not giving a f*ck”book, I for one thought it was a very interesting book with a unique way of thinking about life in real time. I can not seem to forget a particular chapter why ?well This chapter basically talked about suffering as part of human existence and how everyone should stop thinking there is validation in suffering or that there is a reason for hardship, well from what I have concluded from my many years of life in this world agree with that analogy there is actually no grand-plan for suffering. Suffering is just suffering it doesn’t gratify a person in anyways.
With the sudden increase in price of everything in Nigeria owing to the devaluation of Naira it’s been very hard to earn and save money in this economy. 1 unit of the American currency is equivalent to 1000 unit or more of my country’s currency. What this simply means is if you don’t earn in $ or you don’t work for a company abroad you are likely to be broke this period. On top of all that there is increase in fees for Tertiary institutions, gas price and so many other things. Which begs the question how would ordinary people like me survive?
I feel old, I won’t say I am old now because I am in my mid twenties although through and through I feel old, and not just because I am an old soul or because I feel like an old soul.-it’s just because of my choices you know I like old music, I prefer our old way of life, I basically just prefer the life humans lived before this Modern times but that’s besides my point. My point is I feel so old because I have had my fair share what it means to be dealt with by life. You see when you have piled-up experiences of wins and loses you tend to age quite faster in experience and maturity. Most people would argue and say suffering builds character, I beg to differ I think suffering is just suffering nothing more nothing less. Again that’s just me what do you think? am wrong or am I right ?
