Hi ReggaeSteem, it's Donald (Shari's Dad). In this swim meet I believe my daughter learned a huge lesson, she won the race but was disqualified. It was amazing to hear the crowd of people cheering her on, most of whom were seeing her compete for the first time; in the final meet of the season.
She made a mistake early on, apparently confused; she turned around and allegedly touched the pool floor before making up lost ground and winning the race in epic fashion. Totally bummed out, it was up to Swim-dad (lol) to fight back her tears when she wasn't announced for the medal.
'...but, I beat them Daddy'
Thankfully it worked and she's focused for this coming season. We're working on her dive and breathing, hopefully she will take home her first medal in the next meet on October 27, the Dean Memorial Swim Meet in Kingston, Jamaica.
Thanks for watching, please join us and cheer her on in spirit.
PS: In the near future, she will be using Steem herself. I think it's a great way to introduce kids to the blockchain and maybe deter Facebook use from the start ;)
Jah Bless

Even with her stopping she still beat all the other kids by a good length. Rules are rules though and Shari can keep focused on her next approach.
Yeah it was unreal, she turned on the propellers on them 😅
