"... By humility, each one considering others superior to himself." Philippians 2:3
Through our relationship with others we demonstrate if we actually have the nature of Jesus in us. I ask you to examine this relationship for the biblical principles manifested in the character of Jesus:
Humility: this is not a virtue, but it is the very foundation of the nature of Jesus. He says, "I am meek and lowly in heart." We only have and retain true humility when we find ourselves in the immediate presence of the holy God. Only then will we be able to regard the other as superior to ourselves. He who recognizes himself in the light of the majesty of God always considers the spiritual quality of his neighbor superior to his own life of faith. Therefore, spiritual pride is the greatest illusion that exists, it is a great self-suggestion.
Brotherly Love: This principle of the nature of Jesus is intimately related to the first: "Love one another in brotherly love, honoring one another in honor." He who practices this love honors the Lord in the person of his neighbor. Seeking to have spiritual fellowship, this person prefers each brother and sister in honor, sees and honors the Lord in the person of his neighbor. This respect and consideration for others is also manifested in the fact that you do not talk too much about your own religiosity and your spiritual experiences.
