In the cutting edge of science, where they're looking for unification theories, the most consistent unification theory in terms of explanations and lacks of paradoxes is the simulation / virtual reality one. Meaning, that our universe is information based and something like a computer simulation.
From that perspective, the concept of God is then easier to grasp: God is the programmer of this reality. But what if God (as a programmer) is also playing as an avatar within the simulation (the avatar is us). So in that sense God could be us (who are playing as avatars here), but in our "truer" nature outside the simulation.
And of course there is the question whether the outer simulation is nested within another simulation, and where does this nesting ends.
I love this response! There is so much we don't know about God's realm that such a simulation is definitely something to think about. Where are our individual spirits? How are they connected or interfaced to our bodies? Why is it that our bodies can't live without our spirits or souls inhabiting them?
Imagine using molecules and energy instead of code symbols, or zeros and ones to program! What fun it must have been for God.
I also like the imagery of all of us being little pieces of God scattered throughout history. What then would be His plan for us in the eternities of nesting simulations? Sounds a little like the multiverse theory. Are we going to start programming universes when we make it to God's realm?
I love that the same mathematics that describes a black hole also somehow describes the whole universe.
Anyway, @alexgr, keep reading and commenting!
