"Good Friday Thoughts"

Let us think about the power of "consensuses"...

-About 2 centuries ago it was a consensus, which drove the Jewish leaders to initiate, and the Romans to carry out the execution of Jesus Christ...

-About 80 years ago it was an era of a widespread consensus in Germany, that the "murderers of God`s son" also have to be executed. The shocking fact of this idea is, that it was not a new dogma of that time. The ground was made a long time ago by mainstream Christianity...

-The biggest mainstream consensus nowadays could be, that CO₂ is driving global warming. Could it be, that this idea is absolutely inevitable for rich nations, to defend their wealth? That kind of thinking hinders a vital industrial progress in the developing world, like the African countries. #thericharegettingricher; #thepooraregettingpoorer

But there is nothing unusual in this kind of thinking, that ideas are more worth than concrete people or nations. It is a truly Christian way of thinking:

"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."
(1 John 2:15. The Holy Bible, English Standard Version)

Hopefully history will show, that only incessant critics of existing consensuses makes every new consensus just more legitimate.
