Pondering on the happenings in the World, the question of the existence of God comes to mind.
Our society is filled with evil, wickedness, pain and hardship. It is characterised by man's inhumanity to man with little or no regard for human life and morality.
We are in a society where evil strives over good and evil doers excel. A society where people are klled for their good works. A society that celebrates evil.
We are living in society where people die of hunger and poverty while others lavish away in plenty. A society where the poor gets poorer and the rich richer. If God exists, why all these?
God is a Spirit, who alone exists of Himself and He is iInfinite in all perfection. God is All Powerful, All Knowing, All Present, All Loving, All Good, etc.
If God possess all these attributes ascribed to Him, why does evil persists and why do people suffer in pain and anguish?
When God created the World, all He created was good including plants, animals, man, etc. Where then did evil come from?
Many people argue that evil emanated from man's freewill. If everything God created was good, man's freewill would also have been good and centered on things that are good and positive, not bad and evil.
If evil is a product of man's freewill and not from God, it means there is a Superior Being responsible for evil. Since God allows evil to persist, it means God is in support of evil and since He cannot stop evil, it also means God is not All Powerful.
Why would a Loving Father, allow His creatures to suffer the pit of hell, why would a Caring Father allow His own children suffer torment and anguish , why would a Mercy Father not pardon the guilts of His children?
If God is All Provident, why does His children hunger and thirst for what to eat. People are dying of hunger and poverty. The streets are filled with people who have no means of livelyhood and nothing to hope on yet, God promised to give us our daily bread.
God knows and sees all things but evil strives. He knows all things but people go to church and never come back alive. People are massacred like animals because of thier faith in God. Families and individuals embark on journies but no one arrives safely.
All these, leads to a conclusion that maybe God does not exists because if truly He does, He would have intervened in the plights of men.
God truly exist, Just that he has given every man a choice. He wouldn't force you to be good or bad, but he has also created Karma to reward everyone for their deeds. It's just quite unfortunate that people have forgotten that Karma exist.
Hmmmn... This is a deep thought that is necessary because it questions our existence and the things we believe. It seems at times that this God does not exist or even if he does, he is taking a very long nap.
So you ask, why did God create evil or did God create evil? Why does one suffers lack why the wicked wallows in abundance? Why do that poor woman have to die or Why Was that good man murdered? Where is God in all of this?
God created human so we could be free; so we could truly be human. In that sense man was created to be a creature of choice. A creature who can decide what to do. So if there was only good, where would be the compliment - evil, that man would be able to choose from?
Man in spirit. The only access to him is to come in the spiritual. The key to the spiritual is faith. But a natural man doesn't want to believe in what he does not see. But what is the true quest for knowledge if one can not sacrifice the pride of being to wise to have faith?
God exist. He watches everything. Man can understand him better if they finally seen him each time questions like this prompts in their hearts.
