religions do not really evangelize or convert people believing in other religion (these case are very few).
The main way is of course to format young children brains when they cannot distinguish true or false.
The second way could be to persuade people without religion, but it's more difficult.
trying to force people to adopt a religion is just making them hypocrypt, if they cannot escape or risk losing life or assets.
