How to help animals

in #religion8 years ago

An animal shelter is a place where homeless, lost or abandoned animals are kept, mostly cats and dogs. In the shelter they are provided with veterinary care, take care of the animal (feed, drink), look for new owners or a new habitat. To create a shelter on your own, you will need a friendly team, a shelter room and sponsors who will help you in providing the shelter with everything you need.

You will need

  • accommodation for shelter;
  • staff to work in the shelter;
  • material for the equipment of cages;
  • animal feed;
  • means for care of animals;
  • medicines.
    Instructions
    1
    Collect a team that will work with you and help you organize the shelter. Everyone should do his own duty and be responsible for a particular matter. Employees should be able to care for animals and love them. It is necessary to have an experienced employee or veterinarian who will constantly monitor the condition of animals, if necessary, deliver them to a veterinary clinic.
    2
    Contact the administration of your district in the department for work with community organizations. There you will be prompted how to register the organization correctly.
    3
    Find a place where you can organize a shelter. The building or premises for the shelter should provide animals with protection and normal living conditions, have sewerage and water supply.
    4
    Equip the premises with open-air cages, purchase feeds, medicines, means for caring for animals. This will require money. You will have to look for sponsors who could help the shelter on an ongoing basis. Open-air cages should be aired or ventilated, have sufficient size for the animal's habitat, and be heated in the cold season. The room must be cleaned and disinfected regularly. Animals must be kept in solitary enclosures to make it easier to monitor their health status, and also to prevent the multiplication of infections. If this is not possible, and animals are kept several, then the following rules should be observed: do not keep the same sex in the same enclosure, do not put dogs and cats together, keep the sick animals separate from healthy animals and isolate aggressive animals from the rest. When keeping several animals in the same room, everyone should have enough space to stand upright, lie, turn and sit.
    5
    For each animal entering the shelter, you will have to fill out a standard form that describes the animal, the state of health, the provision of medical care, and placement in a shelter.maxresdefault.jpg
