ARE WE TO WORSHIP CHRIST ?

In the 1960's the newspapers were quoting some apostate theologians saying “God is dead.” Then I saw a bumper sticker that said, “My God is alive! Sorry about yours.”
Jesus of Nazareth was the only Begotten Son of God, full of Grace and Truth.
The Heavenly Father reveals Himself through Christ, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
Jesus was man. Acts. 2:22 and, the son of man. Mt. 8:20. He was God. Jn. 1:1 and the Son of God. Mt. 14:33
“Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Isa. 7:14

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Mat. l:23
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isa. 9:6
Jesus was always God, then he became a man, and now He is the Prefect God-Man.
He was equal to God. (Phil 2:6), but said that the Father was greater than Him. Jn. 10:29; 14:28. FIGURE THAT OUT.
Mt. 22: 42-45. “Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?”
He was called God, and yet He called upon God. Jn.20:17. What a paradox!
Although Jesus considered Himself to be equal with God, He humbled Himself even unto the death of the cross. Phil 2:6-8
Did you know that Jesus is the Almighty?
Rev. 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”
He was the one true and living God in the flesh, and there is no other.
He said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Mt. 28:18. And He has given us power over all the power of the devil. Lk. 10:19.

To see Jesus is to see God. Jesus is the “see-part” of God.
Jesus said “…he that has seen Me has seen the Father.” Jn. 14:9
Jesus is the brightness of God's glory, and the express image of His person. Heb. 1: 3
We look for the glorious appearing of the Great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13. Our Saviour, Jesus Christ, is the great God, who shall appear.
Pastors are to feed the Church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood. Ac. 20:28
There is just one true and living God, the Holy One of Israel and He is Lord of all. Ac. 10: 36
THE SON OF GOD

Many people called Jesus the Son of God to His face. Even the devils call Him the Son of God.

Jesus admitted to the man born blind, that He was the Son of God. (Jn. 9: 35-37); and there are many other such verses. Jn. 5:24; Jn. 9:35-38; Jn. 10:36; Jn. 11:4,27; Jn. 19:7

MEN ARE TO WORSHIP ONLY GOD

For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: Ex. 34:14

Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Mt. 4:10

Therefore the Apostle Peter would not let Cornelius worship him. Ac. 10:25-26

Paul and Barnabus would not let the people of Lystra worship them. Ac. 14: 11-18

And even the mighty angel, who appeared to John, would not accept worship. Rev. 19:10; 22: 8-9.

HOWEVER, JESUS DID ACCEPT WORSHIP

Christ not only accepted personal worship, He even encouraged it.
“And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.” Lk. 17:12-18
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Jn. 8:58

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” Jn. 14;1

Jesus said, “I and my Father are one.”
Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father;
for which of those works do ye stone me?
The Jews answered Him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy;
and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.” Jn. 10:30-33

Jesus said, “That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father.
He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.”
Jn. 5: 23-24

“Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” Jn. 14:9

“And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.” Mt. 8:2
“Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.” Jn. 9: 35-39

“Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. Mt. 14: 33
