WORKS & MIRACLES OF CHRIST
Christ did nothing of Himself, but only what the Father showed Him to do.
Jesus refused to create bread from stones for Himself at Satan’s suggestion. Mt. 4:3-4.
But He multiplied 5 loaves to feed 5,000 Mt. 14:17-21 and 7 loaves to feed 4,000 Mt. 15:34-38.
When the disciples on the sea of Galilee were fearful and had no faith, Jesus was calm and composed. He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, “Peace, be still! “ The wind ceased, and lo there was a great calm.
The works that Christ performed confirmed His true identity.
Jesus said, If I do the works of God believe Me, but if I do not the works of God don't believe me. So His works were His credentials.
Jesus of Nazareth was a man approved of God by miracles and wonders and signs which God did by Him. Ac. 2:22
The Jews should have believed the words of Christ because of the works that he did. No man can deny Christ except that he lie against the truth.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Heb. 13:8
• Jesus still makes:
• The blind to see,
• The deaf to hear,
• The dumb to speak, and
• The cripple to walk.
Jesus did works in the Name of the Father, and we are to do the same works in the Name of the Son. Jn. 14;12
If the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (Ja. 5:16) then how much more does the prayers of Christ avail?
