FAJR REMINDER: DON’T MIX IT UP!

Seriously, possessing or amassing material benefits isn’t a sign that Allah is pleased with someone. Remember Qarun, Fir’aun and Haman at the time of Prophet Musa (‘Alayhi Salam). They enjoyed great affluence and power. However, they disbelieved and in fact, died upon destruction. Allah says (in Surah Al-Ankaboot [29] verse 39): “And (We destroyed also) Qarun, Fir’aun, and Haman. And indeed Musa came to them with clear Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), but they were arrogant in the land, yet they could not outstrip Us (escape Our Punishment).” Equally, the deprivation of abundant worldly materials or benefits isn’t a sign of Allah’s Anger or Displeasure. If it is, then none of the disbelievers would be stinking rich.
Therefore, being rich or poor (in this world) has nothing to do with Allah’s Pleasure or Anger. Instead, the criteria for Allah’s Pleasure or Displeasure (in this world or the later life) is based solely on ‘Eeman (Faith) and ‘Amal (Deed). And in actual fact, the good ending (i.e. Allah’s Pleasure at the later life) is only for those with sound faith and good deeds (even if poor in this world). Allah says (in Surah Al-Burooj [85] verse 11): “Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success.” On the other hand, the evil ending (i.e. Allah’s Anger at the later life) is for the disbelievers (even if rich and influential on earth). Allah says (in Surah Maryam [19] verse 72): “And We shall leave the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.) therein (humbled) to their knees (in Hell).” I beseech Allah to be pleased with us here and in the later life. (Aameen)
