Remembering David

in #religion5 years ago

As we remember David when he ran from Saul and hid in a cave. It was him who stood against Goliath with a rock and faith in the LORD. Having no one around he realized his faith, believing that the LORD would deliver him from the hand of the enemy that was in front of him. He made no decision but the one that would put in his trust in the LORD. He made a foe in his closest friend but made no avail to distinguish his fire within.

Making sure work of his enemies. He cried out to the Lord in repentance when Nathan came to him. So we remember that David was a young boy who fought lions and bears to keep his sheep from them. We look to Jesus his descendant who took away our sins. David in psalms even spoke of Jesus' hands and feet being pierced. Though he would cry day and night for his lost boy. His son would turn against him in a rage.

He would have a son that grew to be King. He would offer up praises to the Living and True GOD. He made no vow but that his enemies would be conquered. His solace was found in the temple of EL ELYON (God Most High). he would write in the Psalms of how beautiful Adonai (the LORD) was and is.

For he fought with an arm as to the LORD
He never forgot the one who made him
That the very head on his head was numbered
That the days he had were but few
He knew not anything else but the Lord
Crying for Eli in the dead of night
Calling for his abba in the coldest of days
He would soon sleep and never wake up
Hope would spring up
From a seed
A bruise to the female
But a torrent to her foe
David is remembered for his mighty acts
Making no place for his enemies to conquer him
