JEHOVAH forbids trying to inquire of the dead.
Deuteronomy 18:10,11.reads > There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or daughter to pass through fire, or that useth divisional, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. (11) Or a charmer or a consulter with familiar spirit, or a wizard or a necromancer.

When a person dies they go to either heaven or hell. In either place they are unable to talk to us.
