He gave us a reason to be victorious
He showed us the way to the Father
His love for us is strong and it didn't falter
He loved us even with our obvious faults
He loved us even while we were yet sinners
He did it all for love and nothing else
The nails didn't keep Him on the cross
Only His love for humanity kept Him there
How can an ordinary nail keep a God?
How can someone who made the blind to see;
The lame to walk and healed every ailment
Be kept on the cross with mere nails?
He was intentional about His love for us
He wanted to reconcile the lost world to God
He came, did the work of the Father
Now it is left for us to do His works;
Reconciling lost souls back to God too
Then spread the good news of Jesus yonder
