Today I would like to look at 2 Timothy 1 verse 9

9)He saved us and called us to be his own people, not because of what we have done, but because of His own purpose and grace. He gave us this grace by means of Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

God saved us from eternal death by His grace, He gave His Son to die in our place and thus paying for our sins. We don't have to do anything from our side, as we cannot earn our salvation, we only have to believe that Jesus died for our sins and we are saved.
