7The world cannot hate you [since you are part of it], but it does hate Me because I denounce it and testify that its deeds are evil.

The world is hostile towards Christ. It is because our Lord Jesus Christ is the Light of the world and that light is brilliant. That Light reveals all that is bad; reveals sin and condemns it.
