RE: The Gospel of Genesis

in #reliquary6 years ago

In those times it was dangerous to travel or live alone, as this made them vulnerable to attack. Upon leaving Abram, Lot was left alone with his immediate family: his wife and two daughters. This put him in a vulnerable position. Lot was rich, and his many belongings were a temptation for any thief on the road. It also proved to be a temptation for the kings who fought in the Jordan Valley at that time. When they saw him without protection, they kidnapped Lot and his family and kept all their belongings.
